I love frog buzzing and usually stick to my standard white or black colors.  I had a conversation with a friend about getting some of the ones that are on closeout and very cheap but they are not the black or white ones.  He thinks the color does not matter whatsoever.  He bases this on the fact that the buzz frog is a reactionary bite and the color makes no difference at all.  I saw some of the zoom horny toads (black white swirl) for 50 cents a bag and if the color does not matter I may need to pick up some of these.

Any other thoughts on this?

I think color DOES matter but not as much on a buzz bait. I do not think it matters on the fist 3-5 seconds of the retreive but I think it matters on long casts and long retrieves.  I generally stick to black, white, and chartreuse but at 50 cents a bag, I don't think you can go wrong.

I prefer the action of the Yum Buzz Frog over the Zoom Horny Toad.  Black and White are about the only colors I throw.
