Ice on Ramps

Boat ramps can get iced-over during freezing temperatures, making it treacherous to launch and load your boat. When loading your boat, take your time and pull the trailer just clear of the water’s edge and allow the water to drain there. Boat ramps aren’t very crowded during the winter, and keeping as much ice off the ramp as possible will help everyone have a safe winter fishing trip.
