Please help the Cookstown Saltwater Anglers Club with a special charitable event we are volunteering for and sponsoring. We are a non-profit small community club that was founded in July 2009; we are located in Cookstown, New Hanover Township , NJ which boarders the installations of Fort Dix and McGuire AFB. We believe the joy of fishing should be open to everyone, so our membership consists of anglers who own boats and anglers who do not own boats, our members fish together and help share expenses. We promote recreational fishing, environmental awareness and educational fishing activities for kids. We are a family orientated group of responsible and safe anglers.
Being a newly formed club our first community/charitable event involves our dedicated members to volunteer and help Joint Base McGuire “Dix“ Lakehurst with their Annual Kiddie Trout Fishing Tournament that is being held on April 10, 2010. We will be giving the children whos parents are deployed a chance to have fun fishing on opening trout day while their parents are serving our country and not home with them, along with many other military children and community children. We envision where all the children can go home with happy memories and some kind of prize, but this can only happen because of the people that help out and donate to this event.
There will be a raffle giveaway for the children to win prizes, the only thing there will not be enough prizes for all the children. This is where I am hoping you can help us. We would truly and greatly appreciate any type of donation you can give our club to give the children. We are expecting around 200 children to be involved with this event in 3 different age groups. The ages are 5 and under,ages 6 - 9, and ages 10 - 13.
We encourage you to help us promote this family-oriented healthy and exciting outdoor fishing activity. We would like to include your contribution on ou Wall of Thanks which will be displayed on the day of the event as well as on our website.
